Hello everyone,
The last update on v22 and Ada developments from Sowebio was dated February 24, 2025, so we're improving the frequency of updates.
Editorial
Concerning LibreFrame, we've been busy preparing AEiC 2025 and validate design principles through POCs.
Regarding recruitment for September 2025. In addition to Xavier, who joined Sowebio at the beginning of the year, Maëlle, a new project manager, who had already been an intern for two years, is joining us on a permanent contract. We also welcome Marianne, a new native english speaking intern. So there will be six of us. That's a good number for those who know me.
We have also split (commercially) our web & marketing activities ( https://www.soweb.io) from our outsourcing & development activities ( https://www.sowneo.com). A single legal entity, but better clarity for customers, who are not the same. The English translation of https://www.sowneo.com will be finalized in the autumn, thanks to Marianne.
We also created the https://www.libreframe.com website, exclusively in English. This site now includes a forum, in addition to the mailing list I'm using to send you this message, which replaces the now unused v22@soweb.io list.
AEiC 2025
The organization was magnificent. Even the weather was perfectly managed. Many thanks to all those who worked to make the conference a success.
It was an opportunity to meet up again with the very pleasant Ada community and to put a face to a lot of emails 🙂
For us, it was an opportunity to present the principles and objectives of LibreFrame. We believe this has generated some interest. The important thing for us now is to move towards a first functional version, in order to present the architecture and implementation examples. It's important to point out that, while the POC presented at the AEiC 2025 Ada Workshop still used an existing websocket layer, we are now writing a new, original layer, incomparably more powerful. Foundations first 🙂

A final commit has been made for v22 and v22-doc. There may be more to come, as we have applications that integrate it.
The dev branch contains some of our preliminary LibreFrame experiments.

The site is also frozen, but if anyone would like to add a Gnoga demo, we're happy to oblige.

Count on a few more months before creation.

Various cosmetic but not useless updates around Alire. We're sticking with GCC v14 for now.

The site has gone live. A Forums page (news, users and devs) has been created. Content is limited for now, but will expand over the months. Feedback is welcome.
